The type 12 caliper was fitted to disc braked Herald 1200s upto approximately
commission number GA229539 in 1967.
Later 1200s and all 13/60s were fitted with the type 14 caliper.
As many Herald 1200s and 948s have been converted from drum to disc brake setups
using Spitfire components, please take the time to check that you are ordering parts that
will fit your setup.
The type 12 and type 14 calipers are interchangeable in pairs provided that they
are matched to the appropriate pads, shim and pins.
